Ps3 Ownership
Is it possible to transfer downloaded items on the Playstation Network from one user to another?
If you look at a downloaded item from the XMB, such as “Everyday Shooter”, and press triangle, and select “Information”, it brings up a menu detailing the game. About 6 lines down, there is the category “Owner”, and in the other column it will have the name of the User (note, not gamertag, but actual user) that purchased or downloaded that item. Is there any possible way to transfer that ownership. Heres the story:
2 years ago we had to restore our PS3 because of a major system update bug we were lucky enough to get. So the account with all the purchased games and such, was deleted as well. Only recently did I find out I could recall the online half of the User and get all of those downloads back. I already have another account however, and just want the games from the previous user. But, as it says, if the original owner of content is deleted, you can no longer play the content. So thats the question. Thanks for anyone who can help me out.
Any Contents you buy off PSN will be yours. Even if you delete the content off your xml, you’ll still be able to download it from PSN unlimitedly.
As for your question on transferring downloaded items to another user, it’s currently not possible to do so. Maybe in the near future we might get an update that’ll allow us to just that but as of now… No.

media sharing, ps3 laggy?
I have an 80gb PS3 (fat one) and im trying to share media between my fairly decent PC and the ps3 wirelessly. I’ve attempted windows media player 11 and PS3 media server software. Both allow me to connect and Search through the hdd of my pc quite swiftly. However whenever i run a video or a song it streams like crap. It will work for about 3seconds then lag, then play a little without sound. then within 2minutes i will get a network error on the ps3. I’m using a Linksys wireless router, which doesn’t appear to be causing any problems. I can access the internet fine on the ps3 aswel. Also the ps3 sometimes freezes completely requiring a restart. the same sometimes happens after i exit games. The xmb freezes

ps3 wont take me to the xmb?
i have been playing around with “Awesome File Manager” and I decided to change the intro for my ps3, I then deiced to make my own sound intro so I change a .wav file to a .ac3 file and now it cant read the file and wont load up to the xmb please anyone i need your help sooo much
i also tryed master reset but it froze half way through the process
By jailbreaking your ps3 and playing around with the system, you basically guaranteed one thing…
You’ve caused it to fail.
You could try and solve this by going thru the various options in the ps3′s ‘recovery menu’ don’t for one second think that this will be quick. It can take hours for the system to restore itself.
Once this has been done, i strongly reccomend that you remove the jailbreak before Sony brick your ps3 for having it installed.
Which they will do as they are activley searching for consoles with illegal software on them, with the help of the game studios too, which means that it makes it easier for them to find you…
